Restored Italian Low Vanity with custome Walnut Top

When we set out to create the custom top for this vanity we had two things in mind: the first was to figure out a form that echoed the movement of the rest of the piece, while the second was to find a few boards with some badass character. We'd like to think we hit on both of those points.
The character on this is practically overflowing.
A drawer front of book-matched veneer plays with the eye, conjuring forth exotic colors and figure. Delicate brass pulls twist off into the sky beyond. The trim details curve around the corners, while the splay of the legs make it seem like the vanity is one held breath away from jumping out the door, little brass slippers and all.
