Walnut & Rosewood Lowboy by H. Paul Browning for Stanley Furniture
Clean lines and an understated interplay of Walnut of Rosewood flatter this low dresser designed by H. Paul Browning for the 'Royal American' line by Stanley. Decidedly less decadent than some of Stanley's later offerings this piece takes the clean philosophy of the era and distills it down to a beautifully smooth 18-Year Scotch. Despite the lack of opulence, it remains a touch of class above most Stanley pieces in construction quality and design considerations. The base does its best to hide itself, while sturdily supporting the visual (and actual) weight of the dresser under its slim but sturdy legs.
Clearly borne from a "less is more" decade, the feel effortlessly fits a modern home, evoking a warmth that spans decades.
The lowboy is in excellent shape, with only minor signs of wear. 6 drawers in total.
