Clean and minimal design, attractive proportions, focused use of color and excellent craftsmanship and build quality: this is why we love the Declaration series, and would gladly run a shop mostly composed from Kip Stewart and Stewart MacDougal's designs.
A mix of Shaker, Danish, and American modern sensibilities, these pieces have a timeless quality that makes them seem very contemporary and in-vogue with today's aesthetic palate, unlike many other examples from the era that imbue a retro-kitsch feel. Turns heads without being loud or out of place. For furniture that was mass produced at the time, the construction quality and attention to craftsmanship is almost unparalleled.
This particular piece from the collection is a rarer china cabinet with sliding walnut tambour doors concealing cabinet space with adjustable shelves. The hutch portion has two glass doors that open outward, with fixed shelving behind those. Comes with the original porcelain knobs and brass pulls.
In very good condition, with minor wear.
