Geometric Walnut High Dresser
Angular geometries play a strong role in the visual appeal of this modernist highboy. There's an interplay rectangles, triangles, and inverted pyramids that's stimulating but subtle enough not to look like a jumble of toy blocks that some post-modernist design can be guilty of. For instance, a brass triangular plate acting as a drawer pull sits atop each of the three lower drawers directly above the central pyramidical impression. The top two drawers include some nifty inlay work forming the pattern of an elongated bowtie. All of this is wrapped in the warmth of the walnut wood, keeping everything down-to-earth.
5 drawers in all, and in very good condition, with minor wear and tear.
