Free Standing Walnut Home Office and Wall Unit

Rarely does a piece come through the shop where we are convinced we will never see another again, and when it is true, the pieces tend to be custom built Italian pieces. The label of one-of-a-kind is not used lightly in this shop, but in this case we will little apprehension in applying it.

Having a single piece of furniture constitute your home office usually requires enormous compromises between aesthetics, functionality, build quality, and usage of space. This desk somehow fits an extraordinary number of drawers (12 in total, to be exact) in a slender frame with a unique, asymmetric geometry that is suspended on tall walnut legs whose sturdiness belies their elegant appearance. No sacrifices were made for the interior spaces and the construction is consistent with the very best American and Scandinavian furniture, although the exact provenance is unknown. Gorgeously grained walnut was used on all the exterior components excepting for the drop front desk, which is a black laminate. Brass pulls and knobs adorn the doors and drawer faces.

Fully finished on the back, this desk can also fill the role of a multi-use room divider or centrally located wall unit.

In very good condition with some minor wear and tear.
