When something doesn't quite fit into the categorical box you're trying to shove it, difficulties often come up in communicating exactly what about it is different and why it is that way.
Up until the final 18", this is a normal, chic mid century modern dresser, with some design flourishes in the form of inset tapered legs, wicker-wrapped handles, and a base with carved channels. Then in the last stretch it becomes something different. It becomes the kind of different you might have to have, because it fits exactly what you're looking for, even if you didn't know it existed.
The addition of the 10th drawer could be designed to give you the functionality of an end table, without having to find the requisite negative space around it to avoid a cramped look. It can afford you some extra storage without making the dresser into the behemoth it would be with a full extra stack. It can give your wall art some room to breath, or display some of your favorite decor.
However you do decide to use it will be particular to you, and will come with the attractive visage this dresser affords.
In very good condition, with some wear and tear. There are a couple nicks as pictured.
